Depending upon opening sash size, the new hinge allows for full compliance with Part B of Building Regulations for fire escape and meets the requirements of BS8213-1:2004.
The Select Egress hinge is designed for window safety allowing easy exit (and entrance by emergency services) in the event of an emergency.
Featuring green end caps, the hinge is instantly recognisable and may be suited with a non-locking operating handle with a green button for ease of identification.
Designed to support PVC-U or timber sashes up to 20kg in weight, the hinges are produced using high quality stainless steel, tested to 20,000 cycles (in the company’s UKAS accredited facility), ensuring long life performance and reliability reinforced by a ten-year performance guarantee.
Optimum fabricator versatility is assured with a wide range of hinge sizes, optional stack heights plus the ability to adjust positioning and the degree of friction to suit individual sash weights. A combination of the pointed sash arm with nylon end cap provides excellent gasket compression and ultra smooth engagement.
