Vectis is a new innovative security combination designed and patented by ERA the UK’s largest lock manufacturer and distributed by LSH UK Ltd.

Licensed by Secured by Design, the Vectis combines the security advantage of a multi-point system with the features of a traditional key operated lock thereby removing the vulnerability from ‘bumping’ and the design weaknesses of a conventional locking cylinder. The 5 lever locking mechanism has been designed not only for security by incorporating the latest anti-picking features and over 1000 key combinations but also for ease of use by both the young and elderly, meeting the requirements of the Disabled and Disability Act. (DDA).

A comprehensive range of complementary door furniture in a choice of finishes is available together with a unique ‘universal’ adaptor which converts existing euro profile backplate slots into a traditional ‘key hole’.

Slimline Lock Solution for Patio Doors

The LSH Slimline patio door lock features a four point hook locking system, with anti-slam pins, an advanced bi-directional gearbox and a robust one piece keep bar.

Manufactured from austenitic stainless steel, the lock is designed to fit most standard eurogroove profiles with two alternative backsets and rollers that fit all 4, 5 and 6mm diameter tracks. The lock has been extensively tested in excess of 20,000 cycles while the tandem roller wheels, designed to spread the load of the door up to a weight of 80kg have been subject to over 10,000 cycles.

In the event of unauthorized force being applied to the patio door, the lock is designed to prevent the door being lifted and removed from the frame thereby preventing entry.

A complementary range of handles with an easy to use ‘trigger’ are available in polished gold and chrome or polyester coated in white and black together with a range of euro-profile cylinders.

Security Solution for Doors

LSH UK announces the launch of an enhanced security solution for doors.

The LSH Dog bolt is designed to provide enhanced protection to doors fitted with ‘non’ compliant hinges allowing the door system to achieve hinge side PAS 024 security performance.

On closing the robust aluminum hook passes through a receiver located over a routed chamber within the outer frame.

In the event of an unauthorized force being applied to the door sash, the dog bolt automatically engages into the frame reinforcing the security, preventing entry. The design is available in two solutions to suit most major PVC door systems.

The continued growth in demand for Composite and PVC-u doors, in both new build and refurbishment markets, has seen a shift in security from traditional locking methods offered by mortice locks to multi point solutions.
